PTSD vet blacked out when he hit utility pole

Driver in V'land wreck says he was stressed out

VINELAND -- A man who told police he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder caused by serving in combat was arrested early Sunday when an officer found a loaded handgun and marijuana inside his car after it crashed into a utility pole.

Police charged the man, Robert L. Mitchell, 21, of Concord, Va., with unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
