CENTRALIA — He's an ex-coal miner, a rodeo man and an outdoorsman born and raised in Centralia.

So when Raymond Orr, 89, flipped his four-wheeler Tuesday on his 42-acre property and broke his hip, he was about as prepared as he could be for the next two nights he would spend in a ditch, his grandson David said.

The Orr family checks on their grandpa almost every day, David said. When his sister-in-law went to take Raymond to breakfast in Centralia Thursday morning, she found his bed made, his ATV gone and no fresh tracks in the area.
