Army finds jobs for soldiers who can't reenlist

FORT HOOD - With DoD budget cuts, the army is downsizing by nearly 80 thousand soldiers. Fort Hood wants to prevent unemployment for soldiers who won't be able to reenlist.

"We know that over the next few years we've got to step up and be part of the solution," Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell Jr. said.

The installation's solution is simple. They'll find jobs for soldiers outside the military.

"We need to make sure we set up our soldiers for success," Campbell said. "We want to provide every opportunity."
