FORT HOOD (November 3, 2012)--Officials at Fort Hood's Darnall Army Medical Center say they have noticed an increase in babies being delivered in the facility in the past few months.

About 10 babies are born daily in the Women's Health Clinic lately, as compared to about seven daily in previous months.

"In the last couple of months, our numbers have been much greater than we have seen just about a year ago with folks coming home right around Christmas, so we've been very busy both in clinic and labor and delivery," said midwife Kristyn Leftridge.

Officials believe it is because Fort Hood is full of troops again, thanks to the withdraw from Iraq.

Those homecomings, in many cases, lead to even more special moments.
