Fort Hood soldier from Orlando died of illness in Texas

FORT HOOD, Texas -- Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died from a terminal illness in Round Rock, Texas Feb. 9.

Specialist Juan Pablo Aldaz, 30, whose home of record is listed as Orlando, Fla., entered active duty service in February 2011 as a unit supply specialist. He was assigned to Company F, Warrior Transition Brigade, Fort Hood, since March 2012.

Aldaz's awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
