Where is the 2012 DOD Suicide Event Report?

Every morning one of the first things I check on, Department of Defense Suicide Event Report for 2012 but has not been released yet. Any idea why? This is getting ridiculous. There is absolutely no excuse for delaying this report. For Heaven's sake it shouldn't take over 9 months to release a report on what happened last year. It was a record high, so we know the report will be bad especially considering past reports included the attempted suicides in the data. Those are the numbers that offer a better reflection of what is going on.

The monthly report from the DOD has the numbers for the Army, Army National Guards and Army Reserves but it does not include the other branches. It has not been released for August yet. The reports do not include attempted suicides. The only thing we have to go on is the yearly report.

When it comes to "awareness" it looks like the DOD doesn't want us to be aware of what they already know. It is worse than we thought but as bad as this report will be, they do not include the number of suicides tied to military service after discharge.
