Why is Boehner refighting the 2012 election?

Every time John Boehner gets on TV I am stunned. Stunned by what he says almost as much as the fact the interviewer doesn't seem to remember things much better than he does. Why are we suffering because he wants to pretend things turned out differently?

The people of Ohio did in fact say what they wanted as far as the presidency went. They voted for Obama. In 2012 Obama received 2,697,260 while Romney received 2,593,779. Guess that didn't matter anymore than the 2008 election when they also voted for Obama over McCain. Back then it was 2,933,388 for Obama and 2,674,491 according to the Washington Post.

A total of 62,611,250 Americans voted for Obama in 2012 but it seems as if Boehner has been forgetting that every time he says, "The American people" want this or want that.

Had this been after the election last year and votes went the other way, then he would be correct in saying the American people do not want Obamacare because that is how they would have voted but just like the election before, all we've heard out of Boehner is not the same as what most Americans voted for.

The Republican party is not toast yet, but they are in the toaster baking to the point where their financial supports are speaking from their checkbooks.

What makes all of this even worse is no one seems willing to point this fact out to Boehner. Pretty sad when you think about it. All this damage being done to the country from a man who faced off with David Lewis, a Tea Party Republican in the primary. Boehner pulled off 71,120 votes then. In the general he managed to get 246,378 virtually unopposed by a write candidate James Condit Jr.

Seems that it is pretty clear that he just didn't like the results of the election last year so he is refighting it at every turn and the over 62 million Americans that did say what they wanted just don't matter to him or his party at all.

So where are the reasonable Republicans that used to hold office and kept the Democrats in check without holding the country hostage facing one crisis after another because the House can't get their act together long enough to pass a single budget that would reflect what the majority of this nation voted for? How many more times will he threaten the reputation of this nation and harm the American people?
