Men accused of robbing 77-year-old for prescription drugs

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. —A man who agreed to give a 77-year-old friend a ride to the VA clinic is accused of robbing him for his prescription drugs, according to sheriff's deputies.
Chris Washington, 38, and William Garner, 25, are charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery.
Deputies say the victim knew Washington and asked him for a ride because his own vehicle was broken down.
Deputies say Garner had a car, so he and Washington picked up the 77-year-old and the victim's son.
