POSTED:   02/19/2014

A Marine Corps veteran who saved a woman who jumped from the third deck of the Oakland Coliseum after a Raiders game last year will be honored at a special ceremony Friday.
Donnie Navidad, 61, a civil employee and Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam and the reserves for 15 years, was with a coworker at the game on Nov. 24, 2013.
A Raider season ticket holder and Stockton native, Navidad was watching the torch honoring late Raiders owner Al Davis following the game when he saw a woman perched from the third deck and heard his co-worker say that she was ready to jump.
