Arizona National Guardsman killed on highway

Flagstaff man killed on Interstate 40 was an Iraq War veteran

A 30-year-old Flagstaff man was killed last night after he stopped to retrieve a rabbit cage that flew out of his truck bed near the Butler exit on Interstate 40.

Arizona Highway Patrol officials said that Clint Orozco had stepped out into the lane at about 7:30 p.m. last night when he was hit by a 21-year-old Flagstaff woman driving a Ford sedan. Orozco was declared dead at the scene.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say he was married with children and was a full-time member of the National Guard. He had served multiple tours in Iraq.
