Veber says her brother's body was found in the river near Waverly Country Club on Wednesday night by fisherman. Deputies do not suspect foul play was involved.
PORTLAND, Ore. -- The body of Marty Nance, an Oregon Air National Guardsman reported missing back in January, was found Wednesday in the Willamette River, but family members are still hoping for answers in his disappearance and death.

Lisa Veber, Nance's sister, says a chaplain with the Clackamas County Sheriff's office told her about the discovery Thursday night.
If he had problems, Veber said, "Marty was a fixer, Marty was a doer."

That being said, Veber understands it's possible her brother may have committed suicide.

  1. So when he was found in May 2018 (I believe), they ruled it a likely suicide but he had drowned. His sister, which I was able to search through her Facebook posts was first suspicious because on around April 18th, an Army Paratropper by the name of Carl Seeman went missing under simular circumstances. I also stumbled on a few more in Washington State. I guess there were two in May 2018. One sailor was found dead and the other is still missing to this day as far as I know. Going back to Nance, It appears that after they found his body, his sister bought in to the suicide. What brought me back to this stuff was the Army Soldier gone missing this week late April 2020. Nobody wants to float conspiracy or foul play. I think its all very bizarre!
